'A relationship for life'
This campaign, using the 'lonely hearts' theme, is a light-hearted reminder to reduce waste by reusing shopping bags, and features a 'forgotten' cloth bag which becomes valued again.
A twenty second TV advert is accompanied by posters showing this message and other ways to reduce and reuse. Similar adverts appear on the dating pages of the Oxford Mail.
Oxfordshire's residents already recycle over 44 per cent of their household waste, and produce one of the lowest rates of overall rubbish per household. But we are committed to reducing waste even further, to improve the county's environment and to avoid paying heavy penalties for exceeding landfill allowances.
By going into Oxfordshire's homes via commercial TV, we are taking the message to people using a popular and effective medium.
