Nippy nappy changers needed!
The race is on to find the quickest nappy changer in Oxfordshire!

Parents will be challenged to change a nappy in the fastest time at two real nappy fairs on 24 and 25 April. As well as taking away the accolade, the winner will be rewarded with a set of Popn'Gro real nappies to practice on at home.
This contest was the idea of mother and real nappy stockist Sally Eccleston, who is organising the real nappy fairs as a launch to Real Nappy Week 2010. “We’ve run a couple of Nappy Fairs before, but though this competition would be a great way to engage people as everyone loves a challenge,” says Sally. “All real nappy suppliers from across the county will be on hand at the events to offer help and advice to parents wanting to make the greener choice for their baby, and of course we welcome anyone who thinks they can change a nappy in less than five seconds!”
The Oxfordshire Real Nappy Fairs both run from 2-4pm and are being held on:
- Saturday 24 April, North Oxford Association, Summertown, Oxford
- Sunday 25 April at The Northmoor Trust, Little Wittenham, Nr Abingdon.
They have been funded by Oxfordshire Waste Partnership (OWP)
Paul Mocroft from OWP says: “We’re happy to support these events as they’ve proved popular in the past. It’s a great way for parents to interact and actually see how a real nappy works. They can also find out more about the free nappy trial kit that OWP runs with the nappy stockists, giving parents the chance to try real nappies out for themselves. It’s surprising how they’ve moved on since terry squares.”
The Nappy Fairs are free to attend, with refreshments, baby changing and breastfeeding facilities and easily accessible parking all provided. In addition to the nappy changing challenge, parents will be able to enter a raffle to win prizes from every stall holder.
